Sililo Dynasty worked on the Madala Hostel upgrades which helped bring relief for the growing housing crisis in Alexandra. The project was launched by JOSHCO as an innovative project focused on developing alternative housing solutions to help solve the housing challenges in Alexandra and replace the existing delipidated, unhealthy and unsafe housing situation.
This project is unique in that it was one of the pioneering projects using low-cost alternative housing materials (shipping containers).
In total 289 family units were accommodated housing an estimated 1100 people in good living conditions with running water, electricity, lights and a playground for kids.
JOBS. Sililo Dynasty had a staff of 18 onsite, which were all youth on this project
